Our core member @StamblerLev represented #NeverLocal at #QCrypt 2025 in Sanya, China, one of the most important events globally on quantum cryptography. Lev delivered a talk that placed him among the world’s leading experts: Talk: Information-Theoretic One-Time Programs from Geometrically Local QNC₀ Adversaries Institutions: University of Maryland @UofMaryland (QuICS) & NeverLocal Ltd @nvrlcl • The vision of One-Time Programs (OTPs) that can only run once and then self-destruct. • How to construct them using Quantum Random Access Codes (QRACs) and Random Linear Code. • A new way to measure security using Rényi (collision) entropy. • Proofs showing that even powerful adversaries with constant-depth local quantum circuits cannot break the scheme. Highlights: • Introduction to One-Time Memories (OTMs) and their role in secure computation. • Using error-correcting codes with Quantum Random Access Codes (QRACs) to create straightforward security protocols. • A progress bound technique limiting what an adversary can learn. • A key conclusion: Information-theoretic OTPs may be real, assuming that single qubits are noisy; though, more practical constructions remain a subject of ongoing work.
