Since I get spammed now from people who are confused about why we have mixed reviews on Steam when they hear great things about Wicked... let me try to break it down so I don't have to copy and paste anymore! 👍 1) Localization came in extremely hot and we had an initial bug that didn't show a lot of text if you played in Chinese, Japanese, etc. We got a ton of negative reviews for that (justifiably so). This bug has been fixed since and more localization fixes are coming! 2) We released Wicked into Early Access. Just like we did on Ori and the Will of the Wisps, we prioritized features for the initial release over performance, hoping that people would understand that optimization will get better and better over time. It was important that people would first and foremost understand our vision! On Wisps, we initially had performance issues on Xbox One, but then optimized and polished the game until it even ran at 60fps on Switch. We obviously want to see similar things happening again on Wicked! 👍 We understand that people paid good money to play Wicked, so they expect a good experience on their machines from the get-go. We already released a few optimization fixes with more dramatic changes on the way! Joining us on our Early Access journey means that you'll get all the improvements, content updates and fixes until we release 1.0, so just hang tight, we'll make sure that you'll get an excellent product (while being able to give us direct feedback, we're listening!) 👍 3) Quality of Life: Again, we've been working on our builds until literally an hour or so before it went live. Quite a lot of the quality of life features people would like to have are things we've wanted to implement still, but just weren't able to deliver in time. All of those things will be fixed soon! Overall, we feel extremely positive about the initial reception to No Rest for the Wicked! We're getting a tremendous amount of love and (probably more importantly) feedback from people who played the Early Access build already, which is amazing. I personally can't wait to see where we'll be a few weeks, months or a year from now! We're making the game I always dreamed of playing and I think by now it's pretty clear that I wasn't alone in wanting to play something like No Rest for the Wicked for a long time! 👍😄
