#NorthernSyria | #Aleppo: STG's security forces terrorize two Kurdish towns and arrests many of its men, coinciding with Turkish MoI visit. Yesterday STG's General Security forces launched a campaign targeting Kurdish towns in northern Syria, according to locals the attack consisted of 200 vehicles filled with government fighters who raided Tal Hasel and Tal Arn in Aleppo's countryside under the pretext of arresting "Assad regime remnants", they raided homes, assaulted civilians and arrested dozens of young men. The situation devolved into an assault on the Kurdish civilians who protested these violent arrests, a documented incident involves a government fighter assaulting a Kurdish woman. So far the campaign has caused the Kurdish community in the region to feel threatened and vulnerable in the face of similar attacks under bogus pretexts, especially when such a community remains fragile after its displaced people has only recently been allowed to return to their homes and towns. However this campaign raises suspicions over its timings which has coincided with the arrival of a Turkish delegation headed by MoI who wasted no time to remind everyone of Turkish influence in Syria via posting videos of himself praying in the Umayyad mosque.

Yesterday STG's General Security forces launched a campaign targeting Kurdish towns in northern Syria, according to locals the attack consisted of 200 vehicles filled with government fighters who raided Tal Hasel and Tal Arn in Aleppo's countryside under the pretext of arresting "Assad regime remnants", they raided homes, assaulted civilians and arrested dozens of young men.

The situation devolved into an assault on the Kurdish civilians who protested these violent arrests, a documented incident involves a government fighter assaulting a Kurdish woman.

So far the campaign has caused the Kurdish community in the region to feel threatened and vulnerable in the face of similar attacks under bogus pretexts, especially when such a community remains fragile after its displaced people has only recently been allowed to return to their homes and towns.

However this campaign raises suspicions over its timings which has coincided with the arrival of a Turkish delegation headed by MoI who wasted no time to remind everyone of Turkish influence in Syria via posting videos of himself praying in the Umayyad mosque.

#NorthernSyria | Rural #Aleppo: A Shia man "Diaa Faraj Hammoud," from the town of #alZahraa (n. rural Aleppo), has been killed. The man worked as a night security guard at a stone quarry in the Al-Tamourah area, close to his hometown. He was found murdered at his workplace yesterday, June 14, 2026.

#NorthernSyria | Ar-Raqqah: General Security HQ attacked, casualties reported. The General Security HQ in Ar-Raqqah city was attacked today, according to reports the two attackers who were clad in General Security uniform, opened fire on the guards in front of the building killing them, went inside where they engaged the other force stationed inside. They were able to eliminate other members of security before they were surrounded, in this desperate situation one of them activated the suicide vest he was wearing killing him while the other was killed by gunfire. In summary, so far the attack has left 4 members of security dead and others injured for 2 attackers killed. ISIS hasn't claimed responsibility for the attack yet, nor did any other faction operating within Syria which leaves many questions unanswered regarding this attack and the motives behind it.

They were able to eliminate other members of security before they were surrounded, in this desperate situation one of them activated the suicide vest he was wearing killing him while the other was killed by gunfire.

In summary, so far the attack has left 4 members of security dead and others injured for 2 attackers killed.
ISIS hasn't claimed responsibility for the attack yet, nor did any other faction operating within Syria which leaves many questions unanswered regarding this attack and the motives behind it.

In a repeat of the previous provocation earlier this month, that led to days of rising tensions that saw the sign of justice court in Al-Hasaka taken down several times by Kurdish locals for not including Kurdish language, the STG puts back an all Arabic sign instead of the Kurdish/Arabic sign that was agreed upon. This act prompted the local Kurdish population to protest demanding the sign to include their language. The goals of these provocations remain unknown, as it only helps to hinder the US brokered integration of Kurdish forces into STG, some speculate that the main instigator is Turkish pressure on STG, as Turkey seeks to further strangle Kurdish autonomy in Syria, an issue it considers a matter of "national security".

The elections to fill the empty seats at people's assembly reserved for representatives of northern Syria were held today, the majority of the Kurdish parties withdrew from the elections citing the Kurds have been misrepresented in the number of seats allocated to them (8 seats), in addition to claims that the elections were already fixed in favour of candidates chosen by STG, describing it as "appointments" rather than real democratic elections and the Kurdish don't wish to grant it any legitimacy by participating. However, the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) opted out of the boycott, and won 3 seats. This was met with outrage from the Kurdish community accusing them of being agents of STG. These controversies and tensions have already sown the seeds of future conflicts between the Kurdish forces and STG, as the Kurds claim that they've been given a lot less than what had been agreed upon in the integration agreement, amid fears that Turkish influence in Syria would push STG into strangling the Kurds more, suppressing their identity and further marginalising them via puppet reps effectively ending their struggle for equal rights.

#NorthernSyria | Raqqa: Local man executed by security personnel. A video showing the execution of a young civilian (Abdullah Al-Ramadan) in Raqqa was circulated on Syrian accounts. The video shows a general security member physically assaulting the victim, taunting him and then murdering him in cold blood. These extra judicial executions are widespread across Syria and the identity of its perpetrators are known, however no efforts to hold them accountable are made. Thousands of similar cases were reported since the fall of Assad regime. This has led many human rights and freedoms organisations to call on STG to bring the perpetrators to justice, establish a rule of law and stop the sectarian violence and incitement, which STG was found guilty of. It remains to be seen wether the STG would take any real and effective efforts towards stopping any form of violence.

#NorthernSyria | Hasaka: the pharmacist's body found in Um Rkaibeh. The body of local pharmacist Hameed Saleh Al-Msheeh was found near the village of Um Rkaibeh. Reports say he was taken two days ago by a group of armed men, claiming to be security forces, who told him they needed his medical expertise to check on a sick man, a common thing in rural areas.
