Six years ago today, got my first acceptance letter. Since then, 22 articles published in various media, paper presented at an international symposium, and 12 book reviews. Another article and review in progress, and beginning work on my own book this summer. #NotDoneByHalves

Gotten a schedule for new teacher orientation from the school district. Should be hearing from the school shortly, too. We're getting closer... #NotDoneByHalves

Very writer's-blocky week, but just 120 or so words and this book review for the Society for History Education is complete. Just in time to get my next original article rolling. :) #NotDoneByHalves

Looking to be a busy day in the best way. Short staffed that I'm doing two field trip activity stations on my own. 1700s CelNav of course, and an improvised bit on Virginia's maritime economy. #NotDoneByHalves

Saw that the newest @NavalWarCollege Review posted including my most recent book review on Kevin McCranie's "Mahan, Corbett, and the Foundations of Naval Strategic Thought." I was particularly nervous writing this one... #NotDoneByHalves https://t.co/26OrGa5Aqz

You know you're a history nerd when reading "A Complete List of Ships Engaged in American Trade, January 5, 1772-January 6, 1773, With Kind, Tonnage, and Details of Voyages, and a List of Imports and Exports..." is a high point of your day... #NotDoneByHalves #AmWriting

Regretfully not selected to present at McMullen this year. On the bright side, more time to write and submit the paper I'm planning somewhere, and one less distraction from starting the teaching gig in August. There's always the next symposium. :) #NotDoneByHalves

Doing some tweaks/revisions to the recent book review. Love it when editors can provide feedback before printing...these have been a great writing exercise this past year... #AmWriting #NotDoneByHalves

Just finished my first book review of the year (typing and submitting to @SaberScroll later tonight). Then comes a blog article for work and beginning the next book to review for the Naval War College. Then a longer piece of my own... #AmWriting #NotDoneByHalves
