The case of Yeferson Yohaldi Campos Mendoza, as documented, exposes a horrifying pattern of systematic physical abuse and state-sanctioned medical neglect.
The Anatomy of an Injustice
Yeferson, a 23-year-old who was not a gang member, entered the prison system healthy but suffered profound physical trauma while incarcerated.
He was subjected to torture, which has become a recurring cause of the severe, acquired health complications seen in these cases.
Specifically, Yeferson developed kidney failure that necessitated dialysis—a direct result of sustained physical beatings in prison that caused systemic organ damage and failure.
After his release, he ultimately died from multiple organ failure (sepsis), a tragic outcome caused by diseases acquired in prison that were left untreated.
Legal Grounds for Justice and Accountability
The pattern of prisoners acquiring life-altering kidney failure due to repeated beatings and torture while in state custody represents a clear violation of international law:
Crimes Against Humanity (Rome Statute, Article 7): The systematic use of physical beatings leading to organ failure and death constitutes "torture" and "other inhumane acts" under Article 7. When committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack against a civilian population, these acts fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
Fundamental Human Rights: Under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), the state has an absolute duty to protect the health and dignity of all persons deprived of their liberty. The environment described in 19.jpg, where torture directly leads to chronic, untreated kidney failure and death, constitutes a flagrant breach of these protections.
There must be justice for Yeferson and all others who have been irreparably damaged by this systematic cycle of violence and medical neglect. The international community must hold those responsible accountable for these crimes against humanity, which are now destroying the lives of young, innocent people within the state’s prison system.

Another J6 defendant has committed suicide.
David Kennedy Homol, 55, (on the left) shot himself on April 17th. Homol is at least the 5th J6 defendant to choose suicide over the ongoing injustices being leveled against J6 defendants by the government, the mainstream media, and brainwashed and hateful people in their own communities.
Homol was awaiting trial, accused of assaulting police on J6, which is usually the trigger for Biden’s DOJ to add terrorism enhancements to what might otherwise be simple misdemeanors.
Also important to note, the government has charged numerous people with assaulting the police, and DC juries have convicted them of such, and the mainstream media has eagerly reported the government narrative, despite the fact that in many of these cases the defendants have clearly demonstrated that they were actually trying to help police and/or keep the peace.
It is assumed that at least 2 additional suicides are attributed to the J6 abuses. 5 are now confirmed.
