We are, together with the mechanical workshop at IFA at @AarhusUni, working hard to finish the manufacturing of the NTE Visual imager.
Here you can see the central mirror wheel being milled. It will contain the dichroics and mirrors.

We are currently testing the prototype of the flexure compensating grating mount for the NTE spectrograph. Here at room temperature first, but the piezoelectric adjustment screws can be used in vacuum/cryogenic conditions.

Here is the grating mount, that can be adjusted, using piezoelectric settings crews designed for cryogenic vacuum operation.

We are preparing for the cryogenic testing of the slit wheel of the spectrograph. Here it is mounted on the lid of the test tank. This will give the team valuable information about the performance of this crucial unit.

We have completed the optical verification of the polished prism for the NTE spectrograph, with a very good result! We are one step further!
Excellent polishing done by Copenhagen Optical company (COC).

We visited the Max-Planck-Institut fรผr Astronomie, who are characterizing the NTE Teledyne H2RGโข detectors for the #nottransientexplorer. We are proud to be using their detector controller in NTE. What an emotional moment, when we saw them on the table!
