#NutritionWeekendPoll #CaseStudy On 12 th Sept, I received a 4yr F 10pm Weight 5.0kg Muac 10.8cm Height ND Pc Failure to thrive 1/12 Difficult in breathing 3/7 Convulsions for 2/7 HxPC Known 4 years Cerebral palsy patient, was well until 3 months a go, when the child started failing to eat, losing appetite, loss of weight ,Difficulty in breathing associated with grunting sounds. The mother, too, reports diarrhoea 3-4 times a day and at least for 7 days without responding to treatment got from the clinic. 3 days prior to admission, the mother reports seizures at least 2 episodes lasting for 5 minutes each. However, the child has had no vomiting. Nutrition history Baby was only expressed exclusively breast fed for 2 months, then later the baby was initiated to infant formulars up to 6 months, and complementary feeding was done. Respiratory system There is laboured breathing with chest indrawing. RR 69cm, SPO2 98 % on room air,. Equal air entry noted and crepitations heard. CVS Warm peripherals HS 1 and 11 heard, pulse 135bm. PA Normal Abdominal fullness No palpable masses and no organomegalies. R/S Non remarkable. Below are some of the biomarkers done. Weight 5.0kg
Muac 10.8cm
Height ND

Pc Failure to thrive 1/12
Difficult in breathing 3/7
Convulsions for 2/7

HxPC
Known 4 years Cerebral palsy patient, was well until 3 months a go, when the child started failing to eat, losing appetite, loss of weight ,Difficulty in breathing associated with grunting sounds.

Nutrition history
