‼️Mandatory Identification of Prepaid Mobile Phone Cards Following the recent Press Release regarding the mandatory identification of all prepaid mobile phone cards, the Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation (#OCECPR) reminds the public that this procedure is necessary and mandatory according to Law 63(I)/2024. 🗓️ Identification deadline: All prepaid card holders – whether natural or legal persons, and regardless of whether the prepaid card is used for interpersonal communications or for any other purpose (e.g. alarm systems) – must complete the procedure by November 10, 2025. 👉 Consequences of non-identification: After the deadline, unidentified cards will be automatically deactivated, without further notice. The relevant services will be suspended, and it will not be possible to use services such as phone calls, sending SMS or using mobile data, even if the relevant fee has been paid, which will not be refundable. Reactivation will require a new identification process, possibly with a delay in restoring the service. 👉 Please note that: The process is free and does not require a change of number or SIM card. The obligation also applies to inactive cards or cards used in alarm systems, GPS trackers, IoT devices, etc. Identification can be done at the provider's store or online through its official website. ❌Do not leave identification to the last minute.
