In partnership with @OldsCollege, the @NHP_Field team has installed a hailpad at the Weather Station Array and field 18 at Olds College. These hailpads will passively record #hail impacts and will allow us to conduct post-event analysis of the hail sizes and intensity.
Today, we were thrilled to welcome the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for @PrairiesCanEN and host their $21 million funding announcement. This funding is for 14 different projects, and one of these projects included is the #OCSmartFarm!

The BioScout unit has been reinstalled on the #OCSmartFarm. During year 2 of the project, researchers are looking to validate disease levels reported, and provide a data set and scouting observations to BioScout for further definition of the disease identification algorithm.

New delivery alert! Recently the #OCSmartFarm received a @SeedMasterMfg Air Seeder and CLAAS Xerion 4500 Tractor. The Tractor was gifted for use during spring seeding from @AlbertaAGCentre, but the Air Seeder will remain at Olds College for 10 years!
