🇪🇷ERITREA IS NOT THE LAND OF PUNT The Dominy 2020 study found a geographic range that included Puntland. 🎬Media coverage and subsequent scholarship collapsed it to Eritrea.🎬 A second study used one data point to propose “Punt equals Adulis.” Wikipedia was updated immediately. The Eritrea government published official national claims. The botanical, faunal, ecological, textual, and archaeological evidence pointing to Puntland, all of it substantially stronger than one baboon’s DNA, was minimized in the same motion. 🧬The 2020 Darod genome study was conducted in Puntland, labeled Somali, and used to build a national reference tool.🧬 The Land of Punt was archaeologically documented in Puntland, labeled as being in Eritrea, and used to build a regional historical claim for a neighboring state. Different disciplines. Same mechanism. Same geography being erased. 🪢Same coast being stripped of its identity from two different directions simultaneously.🪢 This lie that I came across in 2024 was the “Origins Story” of what led me here. I now, definitively, understand what I must do. 🤲🏾 I know my ancestors are proud of me. I pray my people support me. 🕰️We have 133 days left to submit & trigger investigations⏰ As long as all submissions are submitted before that date, they can be referenced at a later date.
