#OLAchats is currently under construction. We are reorganizing so that we can continue hosting student co-moderated chats focused on our action plan execution. Stay tuned for updates and future chat dates!
@MrSeanOlson #OLAchats I love this leadership concept so much that I have shared it with our HS band's leadership team. Sorry, but they may crash your party next time to see how it is done and how they may adopt it. ❤
A3: By continuing to reflect. “Is this still the best way? How do we know? Are there other ways that could produce better results?” #OLAchats
@vivek_kolli A3: Self-Reflection is an underrated ability of leaders. This is what separates good leaders from great leaders. A great leader self-reflects and always thinks about how they could get better & help those they lead get better & to a level they couldn’t go on their own.

@vivek_kolli #OLAChats lessons learned are critical. After they are evaluated and documented, which is often an exercise overlooked in itself, identify specific actions you can take now to apply learnings. It’s can be as simple as handing off your learnings to the next team for review.
#OLAchats Most important advice ever: Never think you are done or that it is good enough. There is ALWAYS room for improvement.
@shanirajahnayxo Having checkpoints is a great idea! #OLAchats
A3: We can continue to improve by striving for better results, no matter if they’re good. There’s always more to accomplish. Never settle!! #OLAchats
A2) We should always consider the timeline. Just because we have results that are favorable or unfavorable does not mean the plan was implemented to the level where it can be sustained. #OLAchats
A3: Don't settle! Even if everything happens the way you planned and you hit all of your expectations, always reflect on the process and look for ways to improve your inputs and outputs. #OLAchats
A3: Have an evaluation protocol in place to assess whether those actions were implemented as designed, and be clear about those intended outcomes! #OLAChats
@vivek_kolli A3: The action plan should be dynamic. Consistent reflection should make sure the plan is adapted as needed. #OLAchats
@seegera017 #OLAchats A2: to evaluate success you need to first start with clear, specific objectives, identify success criteria and baseline. Then re-evaluate both the quantitative and qualitative metrics. Also, Some basic measures include on time? On budget? With quality?
@IronPhil24 Staying on task is very important, having checkpoints would be a good idea when trying to reach a goal! #OLAchats
#OLAchats Include as many stakeholders as possible. Parents, students, teachers, & community members all have a vested interest in the outcome of education. Sometimes an outsider's perspective is the clearest.
@seegera017 A2: I believe success criteria should be pre-determined. When creating the action plan, the team should also decide what success will look like. I do not believe it is a good idea to decide if you were successful after the fact. Emotions could impact your decision. #OLAchats
@Harrison1Doe #OLAchats A1: take a minute to do 2 critical things as you begin 1️⃣level set on the task to ensure everyone is starting on the same page, has the background 2️⃣let everyone go around to offer what’s top of mind / important to them, then use all that input as a jumping off point
