Patch 2 for Orcs Must Die: By the Blade is OUT NOW! This update took a little longer than expected, but we’re excited to finally get it into your hands, just in time for the weekend. Let’s dive into what’s new and how it sharpens your orc-slaying experience: 1) Combat Rework Better collisions. Stronger impact. More reliable defense. - Combat has been reworked to improve hit detection and overall impact between players and enemies. - Blocking is now more consistent against incoming attacks. - Parrying has been refined for greater reliability across all weapon types. 2) Inventory UI Personalization More control, less interference. Following earlier improvements to reduce combat disruption, we’re adding new settings so you can tailor the inventory UI to your playstyle. Choose from four modes: - Dynamic (current behavior) - Full (always visible silhouette) - Compact (shows only the selected slot) - Off (fully hidden) 3) Prime Weapon System A new system replacing durability. With durability removed in Update 1, we’re introducing a more engaging alternative: - Repair Stations are now Prime Stations, granting a temporary buff called Prime Strikes. - Prime Strikes are consumed after a set number of hits, then the weapon returns to normal with no penalties. - The goal: make stations feel like a power boost, not a chore. 4) Weapon Handling Tuning Smoother swings. Better flow. - Weapon handling has been tuned for improved responsiveness and consistency. - Swing speed and weapon type balance have been adjusted to make combat feel more intuitive and predictable. 5) Co-op Clarity Clearer guidance, easier teamwork. - Improved in-game messaging around co-op features. - Clearer prompts on how to start and join sessions. 6) Bug Fixes & Quality Improvements More polish across the board. - Fixes for issues affecting weapons, trinkets, traps, narrative triggers, and more. - General stability and performance improvements. As always, we’ll be closely listening to your feedback. Thank you to everyone who’s been playing and supporting the game, it means a lot to the team. If you’ve been waiting for this update, now’s the perfect time to jump back in. Sincerely, Teravision Games
