Top Tweets for #ORKGGrant
We have quite a lot of new interesting Comparisons, some from our #ORKGGrant, some from workshops and some from our team. Ready? Let's go ⬇️ 1/
Keep moving…
… towards an open, machine-actionable knowledge base! Bharatesh continues his #ORKGGrant work on human activity recognition and movement analysis. He created almost 30 Comparisons on this topic already: https://t.co/4ysOtkmvxw

Next #ORKGGrant|ee: Patience. She works on knowledge representation and reasoning for semantic web. Together with her group she runs an Observatory on this topic: https://t.co/6O6aYrUIQc

Maryam uses her #ORKGGrant for her work on breast cancer registry systems and knowledge management in this domain. We are proud to have such an important topic in our grant program! Check out her Comparison on Breast Cancer Registry Data Analysis: https://t.co/YfEGYaE3RJ

We continue with #hydraulic engineering. Our next #ORKGGrant|ee is Jadran who curates content about machine learning methods used to predict future behavior of water related phenomena such as sea levels, wave heights, water levels or streamflow.

All aboard for our 2nd week of #ORKGGrant introductions? Great!
We start with Ivo who works on machine learning for processing of AIS data. AIS is the automatic identification system improving the safety of water transport.

Always nice to see a familiar face! @mishra_sanju14 already participated in last year’s #ORKGGrant. This year, she will curate knowledge about LLM accuracy, sustainable ontologies and knowledge graph embeddings.

Research conditions can be overwhelming. Which is why it is so important to discuss researchers’ mental health. Milica will use her #ORKGGrant to document frameworks and methods from literature on this important topic.

Earth to ORKG? @tprateek joins us for this #ORKGGrant to document questions from earth sciences. He works on remote sensing techniques and his works can help decision-makers, students and early career researchers to learn about e.g. agriculture and forestry.

We are often asked if the ORKG can be used for arts & humanities and our #ORKGGrant|ee Tetiana shows that it is perfectly possible. Check e.g. her Review on ICT for education of children with special needs: https://t.co/xZtY7BuGUo

Hungry for #ORKGGrant content? Then we have good news: @jiofidelus joins us again this year to continue his work on food ontologies. His ORKG journey was also featured in our blogpost: https://t.co/VNj4FmTn49

We just had our 1st #ORKGGrant meeting and we can already promise that this grant will have a broad range of topics and perspectives.
Next week we will introduce our grantees, so tune in to find out who joins us this year to light a beacon for open, organized science!
Today is the official start of our #ORKGGrant program! 🚀
Starting now, 10 researchers from different backgrounds work to curate content from computer science, education, earth sciences and many more interesting fields. You can follow their journey through our regular updates.
We just sent out the letters of acceptance for our #ORKGGrant this year. There were so many good candidates that the selection was really hard, but we have now chosen a good mix of topics. Be excited for the next weeks, when our grantees will introduce their works!
We are back with news from our #ORKGGrant!
After receiving the last works, our 2nd curation grant program comes to an end and it was a major success. Read about it here:

Good news: Round 3 will start soon! Stay tuned!
We also thank CISPA for awarding an #ORKGGrant to @SavvasKastanak1. During grant he curated content for security research. In his talk he focuses on privacy-preserving deep learning on machine learning as a service and explains how the ORKG helps to choose suitable algorithms.1/2

Next week, next round of presentations from our #ORKGGrant.
ZB MED awarded a grant to Nele Villabruna, a microbiologist focusing on viruses.
In her talk she presents her work on the tropism of SARS-CoV-2 to show, which organs and cell types can be infected. 1/2

Today, we want to show @PapainEric's work in the #ORKGGrant. His research on supply chain management can contribute to environmental protection. In his talk he explains why he works with ORKG and how the platform can help to change scientific practices.

Next presentation from the #ORKGGrant:
Liliia Hebryn-Baidy talks about her work on land use land cover mapping. She compares machine learning classifiers using different satellite images and presents how she visualized the results. 1/2

After our #ORKGGrant Program has officially ended last week, it is now time to present the results.
We start with the contributions of @mishra_sanju14, who joined the program in August and has since created several comparisons on knowledge graph construction & ontologies. 1/3
