A3: It's hard keeping that energy when it gets dark so early. I don't drink coffee, but I am super into those Mio energy enhancers. I'm sure somebody in a few years will say how bad they are for you, but for the time being it's keeping by batteries charged. 🔋 #OTLProud

@OPStechtrainers A3 Teacher tired is REAL!!! I have been very intentional leading up to Winter Break about setting boundaries. By looking at my calendar in advance and choosing the nights I am willing to work later and the days I want to come home and relax #OTLProud

A6, part 2 I told my Ss in the next group I was struggling & could use help. I asked them to talk about what makes them happy. My Ss were really sympathetic. We made a list of 10 things that make us happy before continuing. It was time well-spent and brought joy to all! #OTLProud

A3 Teacher tired in the fall is real! I keep my batteries charged by trying to focus on restful sleep. I take my contacts out for night time. Use blue light filter glasses. Dark settings on my Kindle. And some quiet reading before bedtime is a daily goal. #OTLProud

@OPStechtrainers Q1, I am Nicole Larsen, an EL teacher at Highland. I don't think I have ever done a slow chat before, but we did something similar when I was in grad school, but I was brand new to Twitter at that time... #OTLProud

A2: I used to do popsicle stick check-ins each morning with my students. This was a 1 (bad mood) - 5 (happy) scale. Since learning about RULER, I wouldn't do this again because students need to accurately identify their feelings; a 1-5 scale doesn't allow for that. #OTLProud
