@mbrookerhk Ever since the 2016 #OathGate decision, the #CCP has been explicit that the #HKSAR #judiciary will be rectified - as well as the entire civil service and every other entity that takes $ from the SARG (ie schools.)

Yet, the #CCP's stolen #LegCo poll of 2016 (#OathGate) & disenfranchisement of #HKers DID play a role in the Liberation of the LegCo. As the manifesto declared, it was no longer HKers cuz the #CCP had stole it

He lost credibility a while ago - as did many #HKSAR judges who didn't push back against the #CCP's 2016 #NPCSC #OathGate intervention that partially nullified and stole that year's #LegCo #election. Same decision threatened ALL #HongKong judges could be disqualified & purged 2.

@Daiman_Chan I'd put formal death watch in 11/2016 w/ the #OathGate intervention that threatened HK judges could be removed if they failed 2 perform their "oaths" ie ruling against #CCP's wishes. Plus they spent 2 long worried about maintaining independence rather than protecting the BL IMO

Just as the #HKSAR has NO #HighDegreeOfIndependence under the #CCP's #ComprehensiveJurisdiction its #Judiciary is not seen as independent by the #Xiwingers-2016 #OathGate intervention by the #NPCSC made that clear even b4 current #MartialLaw in #HongKong. Judge purges to come.

CONTEXT 2/2: PM @prayutofficial eventually said he'd take full responsibility for #oathgate, but didn't say how and generally nobody really explained how that could have happened and whose fault it was. In any case, parliament will discuss this next week - will Prayut show up?

@prayutofficial CONTEXT 1/2: On July 16, PM @prayutofficial and his new cabinet took an oath in front of King Rama X, but failed to recite the part where they'd uphold the constitution (which ironically they wrote while while they were a military govt), as required by Art 116. #oathgate

Office of the Ombudsman's passing ruling set to find out PM Prayut is in the wrong for violated Section 161 of constitution because he failed to recite the final sentence, which requires oath taker to vow to uphold & abide by the constitution. Constitution court is now in charged
