The workshop equips committee members with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and safeguard community land in accordance with Kenya's legal framework. Speaking during the opening session, participants reflected on the significance of the Community Land Act, 2016, which this year marks its 10th anniversary. The Act has been instrumental in recognizing and protecting community land rights, promoting inclusive governance, and empowering communities to manage their land sustainably.
