We regret to inform you that acts of vandalism at one of our chambers, Transformer Substation, have resulted in a power outage affecting several areas supplied by the Cyrildene South distributor. This incident has occurred at the intersection of Observatory and Phile Streets.
Unfortunately, we are unable to backfeed the affected customers due to an existing fault. As a result, service interruptions will continue until repairs are completed.
The areas affected include Bez-Valley, Bertrams, Cyrildene, Kensington, De Wetshof, and their surrounding areas.
We are currently preparing for the replacement of the vandalised chamber.

#ObservatorySubstation: We've successfully restored 85% of the power supply at Observatory Substation, benefiting areas such as Bellevenue North and East, Bez-Valley, Bez-Valley East, Bruma, De Wetshof, Observatory North, and Langerman.
The outage follows a cable theft incident at the substation. Our team is closely monitoring the load, whilst actively replacing relays to bring power back to Cyrildene South and Central, as well as Kensington Ext 5. Expect regular updates throughout the day.
