A descendant of Capt. John Pulling, Jr. visited Old North Church to watch our original play, “Revolution’s Edge.” Pulling held one of the lanterns in our steeple on the night of Paul Revere’s ride.

The Civil War Memorial at King’s Chapel includes the names of two of Paul Revere’s grandsons: Colonel Paul Joseph Revere, who died from wounds at Gettysburg, & his brother Edward H. R. Revere, an assistant surgeon who was killed at Antietam. @KingsChapel1686

When he was 17, Ben Edwards attended the wedding of his older sister, Sally, who married Paul Revere Jr., firstborn son of Paul Revere on August 22, 1782. The occasion must have been a welcome & joyous respite from the privations of the Revolution. #BenEdwards #OneAprilinBoston
Ben Edwards was 41 when the African Meeting House was dedicated on December 6, 1806. At the time, he lived in the West End a short distance away on Belknap Street (now Joy Street) seen here highlighted in yellow. Ben died on June 9, 1808 at age 43. #OneAprilinBoston

Ben was 16 when this Boston broadside announced Cornwallis’ surrender at Yorktown on October 19, 1781. It had been 8 years of privation, and Boston’s economy was suffering. The Treaty of Paris was signed in 1783 which officially ended the war. #BenEdwards #OneAprilinBoston
