Prashant Jha's 'How the BJP Wins' is valuable as a collection of observations on the ground-level work of the BJP. But it is also not very rigorous as research and confined to certain areas. It is good as a book on 'How the BJP Won UP in 2014 and 2017'. #OneBookOnIndiaAWeek

'The Most Dangerous Place: A History of United States in South Asia' by @srinathraghava3 is an amazingly rich book. One of its main takeaways is, I think, that Washington has a long tradition of misunderstanding India and thinking of her in stereotypes. #OneBookonIndiaAWeek

I have mixed feelings about Vikram Sampath's 'Savarkar: Echoes from a Forgotten Past. 1883-1924' It's a thorough academic work. It also makes use of sources in Marathi. It contains a lot of information on Savarkar's early life that I didn't find elsewhere. #OneBookOnIndiaAWeek
