The cat is out of the bag, #Tejas was conceived primarily for an βinitial fighter training role.β As confirmed by a retired Air Marshal, it proved toothless during #OpSwiftRetort, and its absence in the May conflict only reinforced that perception. While most major air forces have already transitioned to fifth-generation fighters, either developing their own or inducting turnkey solutions, the IAF is still attempting to reinvent the wheel. Despite decades of experience in assembling and upgrading aircraft, it now finds itself effectively starting from scratch with a incompetent ecosystem.
#WATCH | Nal Air Base, Bikaner, Rajasthan: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh says, "Tejas was designed as a MiG-21 replacement. That's why it's a small aircraft. It was designed around MiG-21 and it was conceived with some kind of motivation from Mirage. That's why there's a delta platform. It is going to replace MiG-21 quite well, but it will have to evolve. We will have to think of new weapons for Tejas also. As an initial fighter training role, I think it can fit in very well. We have this 83 contract already on. We have another contract lined up to be signed very soon. I expect, like we had the MiG-21s, various versions of Tejas, whether Tejas MK 1 or MK 2 or later on AMCA, will replace this fleet."

3. PL-15 long range BVR AAM (NATO: CH-AA-10 Abaddon). Fired indiscriminately by PAF - with hope to get AA kill (spray and pray!), tactics similar to how AMRAAM was used in #OpSwiftRetort. Several missiles recovered intact due to motors burning out without contact.

It seems #IndianAirForce did not learn anything from the #OpSwiftRetort experience. Every mistake made by the IAF was repeated and PAF repeated every trick they had shown in 2019. After the night of May 6th, morning of May 7th, IAF did not come into action except May 10th when the 6th aircraft was shot down. This is when IAF used aerial assets for launching cruise missiles into Pakistan trying to hit the air bases which was neutralized except damages to few structures.
PAF exceled in EW and kinetic dominance over the Indian airspace. Indian A50 AWACS platform didn't come into play. in air and on the ground, IAF's ECM and ECCM was non-existent.
Indian layered AD didn't make any difference. Their HIMAD, LOMAD and SHORAD systems have zero kills. They were only able to employ successfully AD systems against low flying loitering munitions and achieve some success.
Loss of S400 Batteries at Adampur and Halwara Air Force stations was a big blow to its reputation, while Pakistan's HQ-9P or HQ-16FE system claimed a single kill possibly on May 10th. All 5 kills of the IAF on the May 5th were achieved inside the Indian airspace and within the envelope of S400 and MRSAM without any scores.
PAF's hypersonic ASM known as CM400 was employed to neutralize the S400 batteries.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM, renowned for its beyond-visual-range precision, was effectively employed by the Pakistan Air Force against the Indian Air Force during Operation Swift Retort, showcasing PAFβs air superiority and strategic prowess.

Whenever India looks at us with aggression, they should remember we gave them a bloody nose in Operation Swift Retort, and we wonβt hesitate to do it again.

One can imagine if #PAF was able to counter #IAF in EW realm with radar and communication jamming in 2019, what must be their capabilities post #OpSwiftRetort five years later.

There comes #Indian fantasies. Mentioning two aircraft being shot down comes from the PTSD India suffers from after #OpSwiftRetort on 27 Feb 2019.
