So I've had a lot of questions after the release of #OpenKSK if I would be making a board for the JVC variant of the #SegaCD / #MegaCD 1. The biggest problem was I didn't have one... @1upRestorations sent one over so it's officially in queue. I will also have other KSKs soon The KSK-1310A (Sony Sega CD 2) and the -11 -12 and -13 models of OpenKSK are coming, as well as the KSK-1230A for Neo Geo CD. I've been saving up funds for the next manufacturing run and in a few weeks more of the tariffs are supposed to expire. I'm hoping that will allow me to bring the next run of boards with lower US pricing.

So I paired my #OpenKSK with cosam's main board. It looks great together. As soon as I finish the sub board we can build the whole machine... But need to convince someone talented in 3D modeling to make us a clear shell. Will give free boards for model 🥹 #SegaCD #MegaCD

There have been handful of successful #OpenKSK builds now. If the fragile pads on your board were damaged during recapping, the OpenKSK can help you get a clean repair. Studying the docs & the assembly are also a fun way to learn more about how a CD-ROM works😄 #SegaCD #MegaCD

The #OpenKSK, an #OSHW recreation of the laser drive board used in the Sony #SegaCD Model 1 will be launching this Friday, 1/23 at 8am EST I will also be releasing a lot of technical information on how the board works that should be useful to the community for repairing units 🙂

In the first progress report of the new year, we take a look at the soon to be released #OpenKSK 1200A. This is an OSHW replacement laser board for the Sony-based NTSC #SegaCD Model 1 which can be used in repairs. Launching in the next ~1-2 weeks 😄 https://t.co/8gWTz9cXuZ
