Hāhona Ormsby, a New Zealand citizen and Gaza flotilla activist, said an Israeli soldier detaining him told him: “I’m a crazy MF. I’m going to hurt you every minute you’re with me.”
Over roughly two hours, he said the soldier largely kept that promise: punching him repeatedly, knocking him unconscious, and running his head into a wall during a strip search.
Ormsby said the soldier approached him naked with a taser, stating he would taser his genitals. A second man, not in uniform, intervened, before the soldier struck him in the genitals instead.
Ormsby said he was urinating blood that night. He also described having his cable-tied hands placed over a chair while the soldier punched him in the stomach and kneed him in the back, aggravating a prior spinal fusion injury.

All they have is violence.
We have love, community, and care for one another and that is something no occupier can ever break.
For decades, they have committed grave injustices and unleashed grotesque violence in an attempt to crush Palestinian resistance (the defence of land, dignity, and life).
Now that same violence is being turned on anyone who dares to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
But violence has never succeeded in breaking people’s spirit.
It only strengthens our love for one another and deepens our resolve.
We are more determined than ever.
Participants in the Flotilla have shown us what resistance rooted in love and solidarity looks like.
We must keep fighting for the world we know is possible.
“They kept kicking until I had no breath.”
Arno recounts the brutal assault he endured after israeli forces illegally intercepted their boats in international waters. Beaten so severely that he suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung, his testimony is one of many describing the extreme violence participants faced during the interception.
One of the most detailed testimonies I've heard of the Israeli torture and systematic sexual abuse of Gaza Sumud Flotilla activists abducted in international waters while attempting to bring aid to Gaza
"I had endured abuse far worse than the last time [Flotilla activists] were detained, and yet this was only a small fraction of what Palestinians have endured for decades."

Today, the Global Sumud Flotilla submitted an official communication to the International Criminal Court accusing israeli military commanders and top political leaders of war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, and conduct relevant to genocide, in connection with the violent interception of our vessels.
This is not only about what was done to GSF participants. It is about the thousands of Palestinians who have faced and continue to face the same system of abuse, impunity, and violence.
Impunity is not inevitable. It is a choice. And it can be challenged.
GSF demands independent international investigations, comprehensive arms embargoes, reparations for victims, and swift accountability for those who ordered, conducted, and facilitated these attacks. We call on all States Parties to the Rome Statute to refer this situation to the Court immediately on the international legal community to pursue legal actions against this genocidal regime.
