We can say that for now, #OperationSleepWell has come to an end, but the impact will last far beyond this weekend, I love the idea of supporting people with Mattresses, they are long term.
What started as a simple idea turned into a movement of kindness. Together, we brought comfort, warmth, and hope to kids and a few families in Katanga. Many will now sleep better because of your generosity, time, and love.
To everyone who donated, shared, volunteered, and believed in this cause, thank you🇺🇬

Thank you @kaynelafarmsltd for being part of #OperationSleepWell and standing with the children in Katanga.
We are excited and looking forward to the December Farm Fest, it is going to be a special one.
Back from the Community Tour, we jumped straight into physical exercise as some of the kids prepared for the basketball game up next🏀🗑️
#OperationSleepWell
We started Operation Sleep Well with a community tour through Katanga to understand how life here flows.
Katanga is crowded, vibrant, and full of contrast. Some estimates place its population at over 20,000 people yet there is only one primary school that stops at P.5. There are more than ten churches and mosques, and countless local bars.
It is a place of faith, struggle, resilience and energy.
This tour reaffirmed my message, Tourism is not only about landscapes or wildlife, it is also about people and their stories. Katanga reveals another side of Uganda’s beauty, the human spirit.
Today isn’t just about giving — it is about sharing hope, love, and humanity Every smile, every helping hand, remindsus that kindness truly changes lives. Together, we make the world a little brighter

This evening I met with Mr. @NajibSsekikubo, the new Executive Director of the Buganda Heritage & Tourism Board (@TourBugandaUG). I also delivered one of my photographs in support of #OperationSleepWell from @BJacquie_P
In our meeting, he emphasised that Buganda Kingdom welcomes all content creators and storytellers who want to document and share its heritage, his office door is open for you.
Mr. Ssekibubo recently took over from @AlbertKasozi, who served with dedication and left a strong foundation for the Kingdom’s tourism.
Congratulations, Mr. Ssekibubo, on your appointment. I look forward to working together to preserve Buganda’s heritage and grow visitor numbers for Buganda and Uganda.

In the spirit of Luke 3:10-11, "If you have two shirts, share with the one who has none." Join @Ssenyonyiderick this Saturday for #OperationSleepWell and let's bless our brothers and sisters in Katanga.
Let's spread kindness and make a difference together🤗 #TourismAndCharity
This evening, we picked up items for #OperationSleepWell from the @NileNkundwa head offices in Gaba.
If you have seen most of my Murchison Falls content, you know this lodge has hosted me for 3 - 4 years whenever I needed to create in the park. They have consistently supported my work and every initiative we’ve run. If you’re planning a trip to Murchison Falls, I highly recommend them as your mid-range stay.
For the birthday outreach, I’ll be spending Thursday, Friday, and half of Saturday picking up items and support from anyone who feels called to be part of this cause.
Our goal is 40 mattresses. Right now, we are at 11. That means in the next two days, we have a big push ahead, and every bit of help matters.
Join us and see you on Saturday in Katanga.
