Wanda Woynarowska, a 32-year-old teacher. Known for her generosity and kindness, in summer 1943 she was heading home from her friends’ house when a group of Ukrainian teenagers – her former students- attacked and beat her to death with wooden clubs. At the time of her murder, she was 8 months pregnant. The perpetrators cut her belly open and took out Wanda’s baby, whose body was found 2 meters away from hers.
