I was a secondary teacher in South Tyneside for 8 years. I miss it and the rich, cultural diversity that’s historically ingrained into its landscape. It’s a very special, unique place. ❤️ #OurLaygate @MortimerCC @JarrowSchool @thecustomshouse
🇧🇩 Last month, various organisations and community groups came together to celebrate South Shields' Bangladeshi community and the milestone of the 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh. Thanks to Seaspray Video for creating a short film, we hope you enjoy it! https://t.co/Mhdnh0JtFC

Make new theatre with heart and soul and with narratives for the community it serves and beyond. #OurLaygate by Ann Ahmed is such a play, daring greatly. Set in 1968 based on true accounts. Resonates deeply with modern times. On until Saturday @thecustomshouse Happy cast!
I have been dramaturg, co writer and director of #OurLaygate by Ann Ahmed for @thecustomshouse since February. Last night we opened to a spectacular response. A gracious talented cast and brilliant creatives and crew and the best front of house staff. It’s a triumph! ❤️🎭
It's a HIT !
