Drivers find the costs, disbenefits & inconvenience of having an #owncar instead of #carsharing aren't such a burden because, although some costs do accrue to them, they can externalise the majority to society as a whole.
And governments have made it that way.
Come to think of it: this doesn't seem to add up at all!
It seems quite inefficient in financial resources and materials. It seem to put a large burden on myself and an unsustainable demand on society at large.
What am I missing here?
My partner has his #owncar. We mostly use public transport, bike and train. the car almost only for summer weekends. He pays a private parking space and insurance 12 months a year. I give him max 24 months before he sells it 😊
