Ight I got more fictional athletics beef. This time with All American. Golden Angeles University (USC stand in) that Spencer and Jordan end up playing at is in the AMERICAN CONFERENCE??? I get β#P6werβ and all but I just canβt believe a eastern G5 would add a west coast school.
People joke about #P6WER, but one conference is 3-0 in bowls and stacks up favorably against the weaker P5s. The Mountain West has a case.
The AAC's #P6WER branding has always been as much about boxing out the other 4 G5s as keeping up with the P5. Nearly half of the AAC now comes from a conference that they've spent the last decade publicly advocating is less deserving of NY6 bids, recruits, media revenue, etc.
My understanding is #UCF is being pursued by the Big 12. The Knights are being cautiously optimistic.
They absolutely would jump in but right now why would you join a conference that may not exist in the next few years?
Think Boise State/TCU with the Big East.
