@ItsMaalim @siasaplace @ZNyakiangana Well said Wakili, the Policy needs resources for implementation. Let's not just tick the box of completing the Policy then don't allocate resources #SiasaWednesday #PawaChat @SDY_Ke @NYC_YouthVoice @siasaplace @Pawa254

@siasaplace @ItsMaalim @ZNyakiangana The Youth big role is to organize themselves and jointly demand for the implementation. Every stakeholder mentioned in the policy is directly liable for full implementation. Give reports through citizen journalism in the status of implementation #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat

True, the stakeholders should follow through with the sector working groups and technical committee to ensure their technical expertise & experience is harnessed #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat @siasaplace @Pawa254

@siasaplace @bmmburu @ItsMaalim The document stipulates that there shall be annual reports to show the status of its implementation, quarterly and bi annual meetings which youth & youth serving organizations can leverage on to keep them to their toes.

@siasaplace @ItsMaalim @ZNyakiangana CBC is already has deepened the inequality gap, how do we ensure that we have an inclusive society to achieve a competent workforce? The TVETs certifications and qualifications have not been mainstreamed and NITA needs to diversify #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat @SDY_Ke @siasaplace

@siasaplace @ItsMaalim @ZNyakiangana There have been changes in Education curriculum and the embracing of TVETS but the most unfortunate thing is the mode of implementation.I'm afraid that we might not achieve this objective if we do not change the education model of these institutions. #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat

Sure, it is also said that if the policy is not implementable then its not a good policy. For KYDP 2019, it was consultative and we should all seek to anchor interventions based on policy direction #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat @siasaplace @Pawa254

@siasaplace @bmmburu @ItsMaalim @ZNyakiangana @Pawa254 @NYC_YouthVoice @SDY_Ke @youthagenda254 @YouthActKE There are so many youth policy documents and yet another has been added. The devil is in the detail of implementation. More often there are colourful launches of these documents but little follow up on implementation. #SiasaWednesday #Mokaya2022 #MokayaForPresident #Kenya

@ItsMaalim @siasaplace @ZNyakiangana I agrees, Money follows policy. The lack of popularization and education on possible engagements of young people has locked out young people to tap into the opportunities that exist in the Policies #SiasaWednesday #PAWAChat @SDY_Ke @NYC_YouthVoice

@siasaplace @ItsMaalim @ZNyakiangana We have seen the rising cases of teenage pregnancies, in the country, The policy capturing the ages of 15 to 17 will allow policy makers to address their challenges #SiasaWednesday #PawaChat @siasaplace @ItsMaalim

#SiasaWednesday The Kenya Youth Development Policy is an outcome of extensive deliberation from the youth and stakeholders in the country. There are milestones for young people if you compare with the National Youth Policy 2007 #PawaChat @siasaplace
