Through #PCBproject funded by @IrlEmbKenya, #youth groups in @NyandaruaCG018 were supported with #potato apical cuttings as starter material for #seed production. Multiplication of such seeds has helped boost profitability & helped in availing of quality seeds to #farmers.

Knowledge on the right spacing during planting helps prevent high temperatures that inhibit #Potato tuber development. In regard to this, #farmers have been advised to use 30cm spacing within rows and 75cm between rows.

Reuben is one of the #Youth trained on #GoodAgriculturalPractices under the @IrlEmbKenya funded #PCBProject. After the training on pre and post harvest loss management, he designed and constructed a diffused light potato store to help safely store his #PotatoSeed.

Members of Jiinue FFBS during their harvest! Under #PCBProject, more than 130 mt of certified seeds & 420 mt of clean seeds are availed by @NyandaruaCG018. #Farmers have gone ahead to continue with seed multiplication for increased productivity.
