Cae Glas and Kingsland have now fallen away, EVERYTHING is being built ON Penrhos Nature Reserve itself. Here is what is now proposed: ✅ 500 lodges ✅ Bars, restaurants, cafés & shops ✅ A tropical swimming pool ⚠️ Parking INCREASED from 600 to 1,015 cars — nearly DOUBLE the original number! That's the size of a massive supermarket car park 💔 MOST DEVASTATING: They have rescinded the 75 acres originally promised for public amenity. That land is NO longer for us. 📉 The £20 MILLION Section 106 mitigation for local services has FALLEN AWAY too. This was legally promised to the community, and now it's gone. That in itself raises serious legal questions! a Section 106 cannot simply be discarded; it requires a formal Deed of Variation approved by the Council. Has that even been applied for?…….NO! 🔄 In exchange for our beautiful Penrhos Nature Reserve, we are being offered a "replacement" on Cae Glas! the old capped landfill site: ⚠️ Only raised boardwalks, you will NEVER walk on the actual land ⚠️ NO DOGS allowed, not even on leads! ⚠️ Restricted access over ground with known leachate concerns raises huge red flags! 📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: MORE TIME TO OBJECT – RM/2026/2 Penrhos Coastal Park. Following yesterday’s email from Sion Hughes, Senior Planning Officer at Isle of Anglesey County Council, the deadline for submitting comments and objections on application RM/2026/2 has been extended. Comments will now be accepted right up until the date the Planning Committee deliberates on the application, so we have much longer than the usual 21 days. ✅ PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to rush to submit your objections. The Save Penrhos administration team will be publishing a letter shortly, drafted with proper legal and planning reasons for objection. BUT THIS LETTER MUST NOT BE COPIED VERBATIM! YOU MUST USE YOUR OWN WORDS. Why this matters: Comments must be based on planning policy and legal grounds, statements such as “it’s a lovely place”, “I walk there every day”, or “there are red squirrels” are important, ( important to us yes!), but on their own they do not count as formal reasons to refuse the application. They must be all legal. The letter we provide will include all the correct policy references and valid concerns, including the removal of public access, outdated surveys, infrastructure gaps, and viability issues, so your submission carries full weight. 2 boys aged aged 11 and 12 designed a webpage to say why they couldn’t lose their favourite place: Penrhos nature reserve , so they chose to run 20 miles in April their initial target to raise was £100 , their friend Bertie joined them and caught up the miles, they decided to increase their target to 26 miles and on Sunday 3rd May 2 boys aged 11 and 1 aged 12 will finish their marathon ran to #SavePenrhos Let’s get the boys to their 🎯 by Sunday they need £692 to get there ! Our fight has been 16 yrs long 2 owners ( speculators bought to get planning to raise the price ) and the latest buyer went into administration due to allegations of fraud and a Ponzi scheme! so it’s in the hands of administrators who with a consultancy group are trying to greenwash their plans to destroy penrhos and create a 500 chalet , 1000 space car park closing off the site to the Public after 50 yrs of continuous access to the paths around penrhos Planning permission expires on the 19th of April they want to continue the planning permission so it’s in place when penrhos gets sold on by an estate agent to developers. we as a cic want to purchase as a community woodland to protect all our flora and fauna in perpetuity
