From beginning to end, #PHS2020 has been a terrific workshop. I had the opportunity to learn from other disciplines and exchange ideas. Very grateful for the invitation.

So happy to give this keynote at #PHS2020. Sponsored by @PennLDI @BUSPH @PhsWorkshop. Thanks to @atheendar for the invitation, and for tweeting my keynote!
So glad I spent this am at #PHS2020. @TrevonDLogan’s keynote was a powerful synthesis of historical and persistent racism in the US, its pervasive influence on social inequity and the relationship to our current health crisis. #BlackLivesMatter
@TrevonDLogan A deep thank you for providing such a rich, profound historical perspective on how we got here in the first place & the vast reckoning that is still needed in our current ahistorical context. #HistoryIsPrevention #PHS2020

.@TrevonDLogan: The continued role of bias in medical care, racist ideas about Black people, and general racialized treatment cannot be ignored #PHS2020
.@TrevonDLogan on one aspect of the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black Americans: it's not just the death dimension that will have lasting impacts, it’s also the psychological toll as a result of disturbing the normal processes of grief, community & resiliency. #PHS2020
So much to think about while listening to a stellar lineup of thinkers and researchers @PhsWorkshop @PennLDI. Floored by @TrevonDLogan keynote on racially disproportionate effects of COVID and how the virus worsened underlying disparities & undid progress. #PHS2020 @atheendar
It's rare to be at a conference where you want to be at all of the concurrent sessions...concurrently! I was sad to miss this. Will recorded #PHS2020 presentations be available later, @PhsWorkshop?
We know #COVID19 is racially disproportionate, @TrevonDLogan says. Today, 1 in 875 Black Americans has died of the coronavirus, up from 1 in 1,000 in August. It’s the 3rd leading cause of death for Black Americans in 2020. #PHS2020
I was happy to share these preliminary findings at #PHS2020, linking expiring eviction moratoriums to mental distress among low-income renters. Thanks to the organizers, to my co-panelists (@Osea82 and @ronuraltindag), and to Dr. Ellen Moscoe for moderating.
.@LeifScience presents on #COVID19 eviction moratoriums and population mental health. Leifheit cites that widespread unemployment brought on by COVID has left 30-40 million people behind on rent and at risk of eviction #PHS2020
We're honored to have @TrevonDLogan join us as our keynote speaker, talking with #PHS2020 about "The Shadow of the Past: Black Americans and #COVID19"
Great workshop where @ronuraltindag presented our joint work with @pinarandmore on the mental health costs of lockdowns. #PHS2020
Lifting of strong eviction moratoriums was associated with significant increases in population mental distress, lifting of weak moratoriums was not. Increases may be larger among POC, though @LeifScience notes they were limited in power #PHS2020

In the mental health session, @ronuraltindag presents on mental health costs of lockdowns: evidence from age-specific curfews in Turkey. Read more about this paper here: https://t.co/yWfsXRjui3 #PHS2020
Dr. Song finds that people learn from salient health shocks to peers – preferences are not stable. And patients may not discern appropriateness. Peer (non-price) effects can affect health care use more than prices. #PHS2020
