A year later on #PICOhaven I made a few under-the-hood changes (sprites -> PICO8 fonts) and UI tweaks. I still enjoy it, even if it has a *tiny* niche audience (every few months I get a note from one person who found it and enjoyed it). #pico8 #gloomhaven

I've finished v1 of PICOhaven, a small card-based dungeon crawler / tactical RPG for #pico8. After making mostly one-off tweetcarts I found it a fun challenge to distill a bigger idea into PICO-8 pixel+size constraints and enjoyed the process! https://t.co/LY1mFBpVGk #picohaven

(1/?) #pathfinding for #picohaven was complicated enough that I made a test cart just to try out different methods. Here, yellow shows the enemy's shortest path to the player (computed using A*), and blue shows how far a Move 2 would take the enemy. #pico8 #astar
