The #PNG Open Government Partnership #OGP Freedom of Information #FOI Technical Working Group held our first meeting of 2021 today.
The Group is working on PNG’s FOI Policy and Legislation to give effect to Section 51 of the Constitution.

In 2019, TIPNG surveyed 24 public agencies to see levels of Access to Public Information and found that with the 45-year absence of an FOI Law giving a clear process, agencies have developed a culture of secrecy.
