#Positives :
•Christopher Nolan's visual presentation is breathtaking. Every frame looks stunning, and this is a film that deserves to be experienced on the biggest screen possible - preferably IMAX. I watched it on a regular screen, and it was obvious that some of the image was cropped, making it clear this film was designed for a larger format.
•The Troy battle and the various island sequences are spectacularly executed. Each location feels unique and visually memorable.
•The performances are excellent across the board. Matt Damon delivers a phenomenal performance as Odysseus, while Anne Hathaway is equally brilliant as Penelope.
•The background score is effective and elevates many scenes, although in a few moments it feels slightly too loud.
•Nolan's storytelling and screenplay are engaging, but the pacing does slow down in certain portions due to the film's lengthy runtime.
•The final 30 minutes, once Odysseus finally returns home, are the emotional and cinematic peak of the film.
•My favorite sequence is on the Island of Aeaea, where the goddess and sorceress Circe transforms Odysseus' men into swine. Nolan stages this sequence like a horror film, creating an eerie atmosphere that makes it one of the film's standout moments.
#Negatives :
•The film is quite long, and the pacing feels slow in several sections.
•Lupita Nyong'o feels miscast as Helen.
•Tom Holland delivers a decent performance, but it lacks the impact of the film's strongest performances.
•Emotionally, I only connected with Matt Damon's Odysseus and Anne Hathaway's Penelope. I wish the film had developed stronger emotional bonds with the rest of its characters.

The first half is absolutely fantastic.
If you're familiar with the story of The Odyssey, you'll be amazed by Christopher Nolan's visual storytelling and the way he brings this epic journey to life on screen.
Every member of the cast delivers a terrific performance, but Matt Damon is simply outstanding. He completely owns the role.
The Island of Aeaea sequence, the Nekuia scenes, and the Cyclops attack are all brilliantly executed.
An incredible first half that leaves you eager for what's to come.
