Have been working on exciting #PPSL improvements. New version starting to show real promise. Less complex ito treatment applied to each party discreetly, yet significantly more sophisticated ito data considered.

Ultimately, #PPSL is a fun (at least for me), if slightly whimsical political analysis experiment - one I’ll keep running. I’ll keep updating, tweaking, and sharing - and we’ll see how it all holds up when SA votes again in 2026/7 and 2029.

The second piece of circumstantial evidence is the SRF’s 'free agents' - disaffected ANC voters. As Van Onselen notes, they’re “most likely to return to the ANC” were an election to take place soon. If allocated to the ANC, the #PPSL matches the SRF poll quite closely:
