Finally much hyped EpiQ screen హైద్రాబాద్ లో వచ్చేసింది. ప్రత్యేకంగా ఈ స్క్రీన్ కోసం #Kingdom సినిమాకు వెళ్ళాను.
ఈ స్క్రీన్ ప్రత్యేకత ఏమిటంటే 57 ft వెడల్పు ఉంటుంది. Aspect ratio 1:81:1 ఉంటుంది. అంటే నార్మల్ సినిమాలకు పైన క్రింద బ్లాక్ బార్స్ వస్తాయి. ఈ స్క్రీన్ ని QUBE డెవలప్ చేసింది.
ఈ స్క్రీన్ #ARTCinemas లో స్క్రీన్ 6 లో ఉంది. 4K resolution Dolby Atmos sound system లో ఉంది. ఇండియా లోనే మొట్టమొదటి సారి MAG Speakers ని ఈ స్క్రీన్ కోసం వాడారు.
ఇన్ని ప్రత్యేకతలు కలిగిన ఈ స్క్రీన్ ఎలాంటి అనుభూతిని కలిగించింది అంటే దారుణంగా disappoint చేసిందనే చెప్పాలి. Screen projection పరంగా 4K resolution ఉన్నా picture quality so so గానే ఉంది. గట్టిగా చెప్పాలి అంటే #AMBCinemas లో సినిమా చూసినట్లు గానే ఉంది. దీనికన్నా #AAACinemas లో 4K picuture quality చాలా చాలా బాగుంటుంది.
#EPIQ స్క్రీన్ width పరంగా కూడా మరీ పెద్దదేం కాదు. దీనికన్నా #AMB SCREEN 1, #AAA స్క్రీన్ 1 లో సినిమా చూడడం చాలా బెటర్. #PRASADZ #PCX SCREEN తో అయితే దీనికి ఏ విధంగానూ పోలిక లేదు.
Sound గురుంచి మాట్లాడితే #EpiQ స్క్రీన్ కు #MAG స్పీకర్లు పెట్టారు. స్పీకర్లు చూడడానికి #AAA లో పెట్టిన #Dolby స్పీకర్లు లానే ఉన్నాయి. సౌండ్ కూడా ఇంచుమించు అలానే ఉంది. కానీ #AAA స్క్రీన్ 1 లోని సౌండ్ BASS లో texture బావుంటుంది. Treble కూడా బావుంటుంది. Sound లో clarity కూడా ఉంటుంది. Sadly అవన్నీ EpiQ స్క్రీన్ లో miss అయ్యాయి. bass ఉంది గాని చాలా smooth గా ఉంది. Dynamics కూడా సరిగా లేవు. Surround sound అస్సలు ఫీల్ కాము. అప్పుడప్పుడు rear స్పీకర్స్ నుండి సౌండ్ వస్తుంది. వచ్చే సౌండ్ అంతా స్క్రీన్ నుండే వస్తుంది. ఈ ప్రాబ్లెమ్ #AAACinemas లో కూడా ఉంది.
So #EpiQ స్క్రీన్ లో సౌండ్ ఏ మాత్రం ఆకట్టుకోదు. నేను #KINGDOM సినిమా #PCX స్క్రీన్ లో చూసాను. #AnirudhRavichander #BGM పిచ్చెక్కించింది. అలాంటిది ఈ స్క్రీన్ లో చూస్తుంటే అస్సలు #BGM ఎక్కట్లేదు.
Sound quality పరంగా Picture quality పరంగా గాని ఏ రకంగానూ ఆకట్టుకోలేదు ఈ స్క్రీన్.
#ART లో 1,2,5 screens Dolby 7.1 surround sound ఉంది. 3,4,6 స్క్రీన్ లో #DolbyAtmos ఉంది. నేను స్క్రీన్ 5 కూడా చూసాను. అందులో #QSE స్పీకర్స్ పెట్టారు. సౌండ్ OK OK అనిపించింది.
అసలు #ARTCinemas కట్టడమే సిటీ కి చాలా దూరంగా కట్టారు. ఇంత Ordinary screens కోసం ట్రాఫిక్ లో అంత దూరం వెళ్లడం waste అనిపించింది. నేనైతే disappont అయ్యాను #EPIQ స్క్రీన్ చూసి.
ఇప్పటికీ undisputed king in Hyderabad is #PCXScreen సౌండ్ పరంగాను, picture quality పరంగాను ఇప్పటికి అదే number 1.
అతి త్వరలో Barco HDR (#AMBScreen1) , #DolbyCinema హైద్రాబాద్ రాబోతున్నాయి. చూడాలి అవెలా ఉండబోతున్నాయో!!
