We have huge news. After 18 months, the first step towards justice is finally here. Following Animal Justice Project’s undercover investigation into Innovis Ltd’s pig breeding facility in Norfolk, criminal proceedings are now underway against Innovis Ltd, CEO Dewi Jones, Farm Manager Nigel Walpole, and worker Steven Woolger. The defendants face eight charges under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 relating to alleged abuse uncovered during our investigation. Our investigators documented nearly 800 hours of footage across 2023 and 2024, including footage of “the boars enduring relentless mistreatment, including being kicked and beaten”, as reported by The Independent in December 2024. The case will first appear before Great Yarmouth & North Norfolk Magistrates’ Court this afternoon. Ayrton Cooper, Campaigns Director for Animal Justice Project, said:
