Major shift in banking strategy for India’s youth!
Speaking at the #PSBConfluence, FM @nsitharaman outlined a major pivot for Public Sector Banks. The goal is no longer just opening accounts, but building sustained engagement with young customers.
Banks are now being encouraged to create a seamless progression for young customers across all life stages, from education and career to everything beyond.
The October 2 campaign is just the starting point, with the larger goal of making PSBs the preferred financial partners for the next generation of wealth creators.

Viksit Bharat 2047 is not too far away. There couldn’t have been a better time to talk about banking for Viksit Bharat, especially after the grind that all of the PSBs & financial institutions have gone through, recognising difficulties and coming out towards the route of reform.
The NPAs are at the lowest ever Indian banking has seen and therefore, there cannot be a better position of strength with which you can take on reforms.
