Today, twelve eminent Pacific Island scholars have been elected as Foundation Fellows to the newly established Pacific Academy of Sciences. We congratulate these Fellows, each of whom bring their knowledge and expertise in the sciences independent of their institutions. The role of the Fellows will be fundamental in representing the region to address global challenges through evidence-based science and actionable knowledge. They will also assist in nurturing a pipeline of emerging scientists.
