Headed to the Hague for the Nato Summit. 24.2.2022 Russia showed its true face as it started the war of aggression against Ukraine. Russia is the most serious threat to Euro-Atlantic security. Hybrid threats, sabotage attempts, the use of a shadow fleet, cyber attacks and the possibility of military hostilities. Russian threat is present from Alaska to Athens, from the Arctic to the Mediterranean. In the Hague we will step up our game: a 5% defence spending target is the most concrete way to show that we are serious about deterrence and defence - we are ready to put our money where our mouth is. A strong defence industry and close cooperation with our partners are all part of the equation that make Nato the greatest defence alliance on Earth. This will be Finland’s third Summit as an Ally. Looking forward to making our Alliance even stronger.
