The farther certain #Arab_countries are from #occupied_Palestine, the more they tend to outbid #Egypt on its stance regarding the #Palestinian_cause.
Historically, and unfortunately, some Arab presidents and leaders have made it a habit to outmaneuver Egypt with empty, bombastic statements in an attempt to distract their people from their own weak positions on what is happening in the Palestinian #Gaza_Strip.
For example, one might wonder what was on the mind of #Algerian_President #Abdelmadjid_Tebboune when he suggested that his country's forces would only move to Gaza if Egypt opened its land borders to allow them to pass through.
Isn't the president aware that Algeria has other routes, such as the #Mediterranean_Sea, #Lebanon, #Syria, or #Jordan, to assist Gaza? Does #Algeria not possess naval and air forces capable of launching an attack on #Israel without needing to pass through Egypt?

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 today met the Acting Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Bagheri on the margins of the Extraordinary Meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers held in Istanbul, Tรผrkiye.
The two leaders discussed the situation arising out of ongoing Israeli bombardment and targeting of refugee camps in Rafah in the Gaza Strip. They called for urgent measures to bring an immediate end to Israeli aggression, its incessant crimes against humanity and violation of international humanitarian law.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed Pakistan's strong commitment with the people of Palestine and their right to self-determination.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister fondly recalled the successful visit of late President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi to Pakistan in April 2024 and the important understandings reached during the visit. He also commended the role played by President Raisi and late Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in further deepening Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.
The two Ministers expressed satisfaction over the trajectory of bilateral relations marked by increased high-level exchanges in political, economic, defence and security and intelligence spheres.
