Looks like the HSE are gonna be in the market for more psychologists. Will they persist with #PanelNotFit or will they allow recruitment at a practical,local level? Will they help fund the training of counselling and educational psychologists? Or will they keep muddling along?

With respect @MichealMartinTD in #mentalhealth the posts have not followed funding because the HSE national panel system is #panelnotfit & not enough funding is being provided to train professionally qualified psychologists
The solution: create more permanent posts, increase number of training places, scrap the panel system #panelnotfit, and remove/reduce barriers for clinicians trained outside of Ireland
For real. The HSE model for recruitment significantly delays posts being taken up, especially in rural Ireland. Interviews are based solely on capacity to memorize manuals & policies which says nothing about competency to practice. Fix the issue!! #PanelNotFit
