In either case, it's very important for you to know certain absolutes that can keep you from making a dangerous mistake. One of the big items on the list are ghost children. Why? Because many ghost children are not ghost children at all. They are demonics posing as ghost children. Why? So that you let down your shields and interact as you would a 'child'. Once you do that, the demonic can gain control of you for the purpose of possession and controlling you to your doom. What should do if you experience a ghost child that is a demonic? That depends on whether you are on an investigation, away from your home, or whether this encounter happens in your home. If it's during an away investigation 1. Never engage it by yourself. Have another investigator with you. On an investigation you should always assume that you may encounter something that can harm you, and therefore you should have a plan to stay safe. A real plan that can really keep you safe. If saging is your only strategy, then you're not prepared at all. Different problems require different paranormal solutions. Some problems have no solution at all, due to the nature of demonics. 2. Never ever taunt or challenge a demonic. You won't like the outcome of that. Paranormal investigating is not a game, and should never be approached with the idea of getting clicks or likes. 3. Let it know, in a calm but authoritative manner, that you know it's not a ghost child. Only after you've done this, should you even consider engaging it with a device like a ghost box. If you work with the ghost box, before you've cleared the air, and the results you get will be nothing more than what you want to hear as if it's a ghost child. Also, do not put out toys or boo bears until you can confirm what you're dealing with. 4. If you are alone, and you have a problem involving a haunting, do not investigate it on your own. That is a huge mistake. Get pros in who know what they are doing. None of the good ones charge anything to do an investigation. However, take note: Do not allow anyone to investigate your home if they don't have a lot of experience, and most of all if they aren't a team that can handle whatever comes their way. Otherwise, they can stir up a demonic and leave you to deal with the added mess that they created.
