Much of South Asia’s blood-soaked history-partition, insurgencies, and institutional breakdowns-can be traced to one organization: The Indian National Congress. While hailed as the torchbearer of freedom, the Congress Party’s actual contributions raise difficult questions about motives, methods, and long-term consequences. This piece explores how the pursuit of power eclipsed national unity-and how the aftershocks still reverberate from Kashmir to Chittagong. Partition: A Convenience, Not Compulsion In 1947, India was torn apart to form Pakistan. In 1971, Pakistan was torn apart again to form Bangladesh. Both ruptures were foreseeable,and perhaps avoidable. What Went Wrong? The Cabinet Mission Plan (1946) offered a federal India with regional autonomy, accepted initially by both Congress and the Muslim League. But Congress’s later refusal to concede genuine autonomy laid the groundwork for division, bloodshed, and displacement of 15 million people. Congress’s record-from its elite foundations to its centralised power obsession-must be evaluated based on outcomes, not optics. Partition wasn’t a tragedy; it was a choice. Insurgency wasn’t a betrayal; it was a cry for justice. And Congress wasn’t merely a party of patriots-it was a political machine with its own legacy of damage. The future belongs not to myth-makers, but to truth-tellers.

कांग्रेस की गलतियों की सजा देश और हिन्दू आज भी भुगत रहे हैं 1971 के युद्ध में भारतीय सेना ने अपने पराक्रम से पाकिस्तान को हराया था और उसी समय भारत की तत्कालीन सरकार को पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश के हिंदू बाहुल्य क्षेत्रों में अपना अधिपत्य कायम करना चाहिए था शिमला समझौता कांग्रेस की बहुत बड़ी भूल के रूप में इतिहास में दर्ज है जिससे भारत को कुछ भी प्राप्त नहीं हुआ सेना के पराक्रम से प्राप्त विजय को कांग्रेस की नेता इंदिरा गांधी ने कूटनीति और राजनीति की टेबल पर हरा दिया था जब पाकिस्तान के सवा लाख से ज्यादा सैनिक भारत के बंदी थे और बांग्लादेश पर भी भारत की सेना का अधिपत्य था तो भारत के पास एक स्वर्णिम अवसर था कि कांग्रेस द्वारा आजादी के समय की गई भूलों को सुधारने का परंतु कांग्रेस एक बार फिर विफल रही थी भारत उसी समय पूर्ण कश्मीर पर अपना अधिपत्य स्थापित कर सकता था ननकाना साहेब को भारत में विलय किया जा सकता था बलूचिस्तान और सिंध का भारत का हिस्सा बनाया जा सकता था बांग्लादेश के हिंदू बहुसंख्यक क्षेत्रों को भारत का हिस्सा बना कर भारत को और मजबूत बनाया जा सकता था परंतु इंदिरा गांधी की कूटनीतिक विफलता के कारण भारत ने जीते हुए युद्ध से भी कुछ प्राप्त नहीं किया और आज बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं का जो नरसंहार हो रहा है उसके लिए पूर्ण रूप से कांग्रेस की यही सब गलत निर्णय और नीतियां दोषी हैं कांग्रेस भारत के मुसलमानों के तुष्टिकरण के लिए सब कुछ गंवाती रही और देश को कमजोर करती रही!! हमने मायावती जी को सदैव राष्ट्रहित में ही खड़े देखा है और उनका यही चरित्र उनको बाकी कांग्रेस , सपा और बाकी विपक्ष से अलग और बड़ा बनाता है। एक तरफ जहां कांग्रेस और उसके सहयोगी सदन को अपने अनर्गल प्रलापों से बाधित कर रहे हैं तो वहीं मायावती जी ने सदन के बहुमूल्य समय का उपयोग बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं की सुरक्षा किस प्रकार हो यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिये कह कर अपनी राष्ट्र प्रथम की नीति को स्पष्ट किया है। स्मरण रहे कि यह देश तभी तक संविधान से चल रहा है जब तक यहां हिन्दू बहुसंख्यक हैं और जहां मुस्लिम बहुसंख्यक हैं वहां सरिया चलता है संविधान नहीं इसीलिए बाबा साहब के संविधान की रक्षा के लिए भारत का हिन्दू बहुसंख्यक होना नितांत आवश्यक है और सभी हिंदुओं की रक्षा करना भारत का उत्तरदायित्व भी है। बटोगे या घटोगे तो कटोगे!!
