Today we hosted author Kelly Starling Lyons at two @WCPSS schools - Wendell and Zebulon Elementary - to read her newest book "Showtime" and give away 200 copies to the terrific students. These WakeEd #PartnersRead program author visits promote literacy and a love of reading.
This year our #PartnersRead program is in 62 elementary schools across @WCPSS serving 620 children. Each Friday more than 300 WakeEd volunteers read for 30 minutes with up to 2 students who select the book & then keep it to take home. Learn more here: https://t.co/hjNxF2lW7h
