Today we're proud to announce the public launch of the #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform! We are a Yemeni-led initiative serving as a voice of the underrepresented Yemenis seeking national reconciliation & a sustainable peace in Yemen.
Over the past 6 months the #PathwaysforReconciliation initiative has continued to engage and consult Yemenis in 21 districts. From these efforts, a nascent, cross-governorate movement has emerged fueled by Yemenis who will no longer be ignored. 🇾🇪

The #PathwaysforReconciliation consultations made one thing very clear:📢Yemenis from ALL walks of life - who continue to be sidelined and marginalized - are yearning to be heard, represented and engaged in decisions that impact their lives & the future of peace in #Yemen.
In 2021, the #PathwaysforReconciliation initiative consulted 16 000 Yemenis from 9 governorates to capture their views on securing a lasting peace in Yemen. A striking 78% said they do NOT feel that their needs are being effectively expressed or represented in political avenues.
Our mission is to ultimately help Yemenis build a Tayyar, a movement of people affected by the war who are genuinely seeking an end to the conflict, national reconciliation, and a sustainable peace -#PathwaysforReconciliation Platform
Above all, the Platform WILL insist on inclusivity, engagement, and amplifying the voices of ordinary citizens as a crucial element in correctly shaping reconciliation and the peace efforts - #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform
We WILL engage the key local, regional and international actors in the peace process to ensure that genuine grassroot Yemeni input is included into discussions, framing, and designing of solutions and agreements that affect them - #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform
We are here to be the voice of the voiceless, and we WILL work to make sure the voices of Yemenis are heard by the policy and decision makers at all levels - #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform
Working through local coordinators from governorates across Yemen, the #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform aims to engage and amplify the voices of Yemenis beyond the powerful elites, making the process of achieving settlement to the conflict inclusive, legitimate & sustainable.
The #PathwaysforReconciliation Platform is an independent national initiative represented by people from across #Yemen working to articulate and represent the concerns, interests, and opinions of Yemenis on reconciliation and peace.
