Heavy Rains Flood Hyderabad; #HYDRAA Commissioner Monitors Rescue Efforts
Heavy rains lashed Hyderabad, leading to flooding in several low-lying areas on Thursday. Overflowing drains and nalas caused major waterlogging, leaving residents stranded.
In #Secunderabad, the #Patny Nala overflowed, submerging nearby colonies and disrupting normal life. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to manage the situation.
HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath personally monitored the ground situation and supervised rescue operations by boat. Disaster Response Force (#DRF) teams were deployed to evacuate trapped residents and provide immediate relief.
In the #Amberpet area, floodwaters also entered #BathukammaKunta, sparking concern among locals.
Authorities have issued advisories urging people to stay indoors, avoid flood-prone areas, and follow updates from emergency services. Further rain is forecast, and response teams remain on high alert.
