It's the last day of #PearsonPartnersWeek! Today we’re back with our friends @HavenontheQ to help organize their community closet in preparation for the colder months ahead.
We’d like to give a big shoutout to all our community partners and employees for participating in this year’s activities. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to give back to those in need and we look forward to what’s in store for next year.
On day four of #PearsonPartnersWeek we had a packed day. We were back at @SEVAFoodBank to continue with sorting and packaging food donations and @ACCESEmployment to pack packages for asylum seekers and provide mentoring for job seekers.

It’s #PearsonPartnersWeek! We joined @yourriverwood to clean up along the Credit River as well as @HavenontheQ to help unload and stock donations to provide for those in need.

Today, we kickoff our fifth annual #PearsonPartnersWeek, a weeklong celebration to recognize our community partners and employees for the great work being done to help support our communities.
We had a great start with our friends at @BrandsForCanada where we took in loads of clothing to debrand that will go to local shelters and people in need.

It’s day four of #PearsonPartnersWeek and we’re out with @frontlinesto in Weston supporting food sustainability by providing meal packages for families. Today and tomorrow, we’re also tree planting and cleaning up the Credit River with @yourriverwood #PearsonGivesBack

Today is #GivingTuesday and day 2 of #PearsonPartnersWeek. Today we're recognizing @BrandsForCanada . This Pearson Partner provides new donated clothing, personal care and houseware items to people living in poverty.

Volunteer Spotlight:
Jessica Vasquez is a Legal Assistant with the GTAA and a volunteer with Outreach GTA, which helps low-income families, those with mental health and addiction issues & more. “I am so proud to work for causes that help those in need.” #PearsonPartnersWeek
Our GTAA volunteers had a chance to connect with over 1000 students at two online events with @PeelSchools and Malton Black Development Association (MBDA). We love talking to students about careers in aviation! Thank you to our volunteers. #PearsonPartnersWeek
The Career Pathways for Women program from @achev_ca connects skilled newcomer women to the local job market. Yesterday, 10 GTAA volunteers met some of these women at a virtual mentoring event - the first in a series of mentoring events. #PearsonPartnersWeek

Dragana Plavcic is a Compliance Officer with the GTAA. When COVID-19 hit, she went to work making masks for co-workers in exchange for donations. She’s now collected $400 which will be going towards a worthy cause. #PearsonPartnersWeek
It’s #GivingTuesday, a time to celebrate giving & volunteerism. Yesterday, GTAA volunteers took part in a Leadership Career Lab with our #PropellerProject partner @ACCESEmployment as part of #PearsonPartnersWeek. Topics included building networks, job searching & interviews.
