No. 52 in our all-time college basketball programs rankings is Penn - the top team out of the Ivy League! The Quakers have made 25 NCAA Tournaments and have won a ridiculous 38 regular season Ivy League crowns. And that is thanks to being the first blue blood in CBB history. Of their 24 Consensus AA nods, 22 came before 1930. Charles Keinath was a 4x nod from 1906-09. The Quakers were pre-tourney champs in 1920 and 1921. But in the NCAA Tournament era, Penn has also been somewhat dominant. They first made it in 1953 and them went on a crazy run going to a dozen between 1970-87 and then 10 more from 1993-2007 with Fran Dunphy there for nine of those. Penn last went this past season. And in 1979, they made the Final Four! From the start of the game until now, there have been very few years where the Quakers haven’t been relevant in the Ivy League, or even on a national stage.

This year it is Notre Dame's Sir Mohammed. The 6' 6" combo guard was ranked a top-100 recruit coming out of high school by most outlets. He averaged 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists coming off the bench last season.
