According to court witnesses, 65 year old local Peter Kennedy from Newbridge, Co Kildare, was a treasured neighbour. A gentle and proud man who was generous and thoughtful. Martha and her son Brian Ibe, began sleeping in their car outside Peter's house about 5 years ago and told him they were homeless. Peter's kind nature took them in, against the advice of Peter's friends, once moved in they turned on him. For the following few months before Peter's death, Brian Ibe made his life hell and Peter became a shadow of himself from constant abuse, demands, violence and extortion; while Peter went hungry himself! Eventually Peter would lose his life in suspicious circumstances. Brian Ibe is pleading Not Guilty to murder by reason of insanity. The trail continues on Tuesday but I will shout it from the rooftops, JUSTICE FOR PETER KENNEDY! 🔊 #JusticeforPeterKennedy #Kildare https://t.co/3uUZuxhm3T
